There are two types of amenorrhea: primary and secondary amenorrhea.

 

3. What are the causes of Amenorrhea?

Amenorrhea is caused by many things, some of which include pregnancy, birth control, genetic conditions, disorders in the development of the reproductive organs, illness, etc.

 

 

 

 

4. How can you prevent Amenorrhea?

Primary amenorrhea cannot be prevented, only treated. Secondary amenorrhea, however, can be prevented by avoiding certain contraceptives like Depo Provera, exercising and eating right to regulate the body mass index.

Amenorrhea can be treated with lifestyle changes, hormonal pills, birth control pills or in some cases, surgery.
